Policy concerning transgressive behaviour

Having good policy in place to deal with undesirable behavior is an important step in creating a safe work environment. We believes in the power of working together and when that happens in harmony everyone wins. When challenges do arise it doesn’t need to be a problem if there are clear guidelines in place to fall back on. Good policies regarding undesirable behavior can play an important role in providing a safe working environment. Effective policy regarding transgressive behavior is therefore something to consider as an organization.
What does that policy look like and how do you ensure that it is clear to everyone what is and what is not appropriate? A code of conduct can be a good option. A clear code of conduct provides clarity and structure and therefore safety. The organization can also use the code of conduct to propagate policy to counter psychosocial workload.
Moitshepi can advise and support your organization in drawing up a suitable code of conduct. This means that we will work to create effective policy for you regarding undesirable behaviour. Every organization is unique and has its own philosophy  and values.  Policy is only effective when it is appropriately matches the organization and the core values of the company.
When it comes to combating undesirable behaviour, it is important that there is support within the organization to take this seriously.  Clear policy shows everyone that there is no place  for undesirable behavior such as bullying, aggression, discrimination or intimidation within your organization.

Benefits of effective policy

There are several advantages of having effective policy in place when it comes to transgressive behaviour. If you, as an organization, propagate a policy to combat undesirable behavior, you show that you take the safety of your employees seriously.

Clarity

A code of conduct provides clarity by indicating what (un)desired behavior is. You can always fall back on this and that gives security.

Accountability

A code of conduct provides a basis for holding each other accountable for transgressive behavior or a violation of the code of conduct.

Professional expectations

A code of conduct provides clarity about the professional attitude that may be expected from employees and managers within your organization.

Security

A code of conduct increases security and safety because your employees know what is and what is not desired.

Preventie

A clear code of conduct has a preventive effect on transgressive behaviour.

P.S.A.

A code of conduct shows that your organization takes psychosocial workload seriously

I am interested, but how to proceed?

The first step is to get to know you and your organization, this is completely non-binding.
After the introduction and after having some insight into the specific wishes you might have, you will receive a quotation from us. With that we also send an agreement from us, which describes what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. If you agree with the quotation and we have signed the agreement, we will get to work.
Based on your wishes and the insights into the organizational structure, we create a draft code of conduct. This describes exactly which behavior is and is not desirable within your organization and how to deal with it. It may be helpful to submit the draft code of conduct to, for example, the O.R. or a committee set up for that purpose.
Based on the feedback, we will further adjust the draft to arrive at the final version of the code of conduct.
If you are completely satisfied with the code of conduct, we can advise you on how to implement it within your organization. For example: creating an internal communication for all employees with the aim of drawing their attention to the new code of conduct.
